My rating : ★★★☆☆ (2.7)
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed
Am I the only one who didn’t think this was worth it ? It started well, with a great introduction to characters and then they start talking..it ruined everything LOL. The main character sounds childish and pretty immature to me. Character development was not really there either. I love reading contemporary romance but this one was not for me. I didn’t feel the romance, it was not special, it didn’t make me want to fall in love or dream about it or just appreciate it. The storyline seems weirdly off to me too. Coincidentally, when she needed to hide from shame, the one guy she had a crush on decides to be in a couple with her just for fun ? Ehh..
I know there a lot of buzz about the second one so I hope it’s better. I still want to read it.
