HELLO LOVELIES! ❤
Hope everyone is kicking of their month with a fresh cup of coffee and a positive outlook of life! If not, take a moment to lay back, close your eyes and take deep breaths. Life is all about stumbling and getting right back on track one step at a time! We’re back at it again with another installment of our monthly kick in the butt! It seems like every month has its fair share of fascinating books for us to read and enjoy. We can’t wait to see what book and life has in store for us now. 😉

LASHAAN’S QUOTE OF THE MONTH + THOUGHTS
“I lie to myself all the time. But I never believe me.”
— S.E. Hinton, The Outsiders
Lying to yourself. We do it on a daily basis. It’s an act of survival. Not the kind that will exhaust your body—maybe in some cases. But the kind that will eat away at your conscience. Bit by bit. The Outsiders is one of the rare books that I got the chance to read and watch during high school. It was a brilliant novel, and I do plan on re-reading it since time and young age has their effect on memory. If anything, this quote is one to remember.
Lying to yourself helps avoid internal conflicts that may be a little to heavy to take on at that moment. Although you know the truth and refuse to acknowledge it, we prefer to tell ourselves a lie and try to believe in it. However, we’ll always fail miserably at is. It’s quite easy to lie to yourself. Is it a good thing? A bad thing? It all comes down to what you do about it in the long term. Sure, it gets you through life at that very instant. But will you let it eat you up for days? Weeks? Months? If you ask me, we should all dive head first into the things we don’t want to believe in. Soak ourselves in it. What can I say? I like to build myself around the truth rather than crumble on lies.
TRANG’S QUOTE OF THE MONTH + THOUGHTS
“Life is a great big canvas, throw all the paint on it you can.”
– Danny Kaye
I find so much inspiration in this quote alone. The strenght to wake up everyday and do something about your life, take risks, take actions and decide who you are and who you want to be. After all, it is YOUR life .
LASHAAN’S LIFE
Midterms are done, spring break is on. I still have one more exam once University begins again. I’m not too worried about it. The month of march looks promising. I’ll be embarking on some new projects and preparing myself even better for my final Finals before completing my bachelor. Now that’s a great source of motivation. The best part of March is the premiere of some of the best TV shows out there (House of Cards and Daredevil to name some), but also the release of one of the biggest superhero movie of all time. Yep. That’s right. Batman Vs. Superman. My body is ready. My mind.. not so much. Who’s excited for this bad boy? I sure as hell am! 😀 😀
TRANG’S LIFE
I’ve done all my midterms before Spring Break 😀 So happy to finally have all the week for myself. I’ve been quite busy these past months and I took the advantage of this break to meet with my dear friends ( that I haven’t seen for like 6 months LOL) and I have to admit, that feels so good. Drinking a litte tea, chatting about life and catching up is probably one of the best feelings in the world when the friendship is still as strong as before.

Yours truly,
Looking forward to the Batman reviews.
‘A Clockwork Orange’ is a fantastic classic. Of course, the book is always better, but the movie is a classic as well.
Happy Reading!

Love reading these posts!
The Clockwork Orange sounds really weird, but I’ve heard it’s a great book!
Those two quotes are so good and so true!
Enjoy Spring Break 🙂
