Thank you, sir! What a blast that ending was. Loved how the dynamics (bonds) between those key characters overruled the politics/religion/everything. Sort of sad to see this trilogy come to an end… Might take a little break before diving into King of Assassins. Don’t want this one to end.
Yeah, it sure sucks it’s ended and I get what you mean by taking a break before the last book. It’s gone by so quick and it’s over, the first book was only released in August last year and then a year later the third book is done.🙄
Tell me about it! I thought I would be able to follow the author’s release pace for this series when I read Age of Assassins, but here I am.. All three books out already and me trying to find time to fit them in my schedule!
I’m not really sure if this book would be for me (I would have to really be in a Fantasy-loving mood), but I am definitely tempted because the main character sounds so interesting! Great review!
It’s always about that mood! 😀 While it does have the mystery element that you definitely love, you’d have to feel like following a young assassin (not the assassin that only kills and what not that you’d see in shows and movies, but rather the discrete child who’s trying to learn the ins and outs of the world he lives in) within a world that has politics, religions and some mystic elements! 😀 Thanks for reading, Stephanie!
eeek! I have not yet made myself familiar with the series but I sure am tantalized by your lovely review! It seems to have all the elements of a super solid fantasy!
Hahah thanks Liz! It’s definitely a great series where you get attached you the characters quite quickly. If not, you’ll find our young man to be whiny and annoying, but his evolution is quite fun! I look forward to seeing what he’s like in the last book of this trilogy! 😀
I’m glad it sparked an interest in you for this series. I heard the third and final book is emotionally devastating. Hopefully we’re both in for a trip in due time. 😉 Thanks for reading. 😀
Great review and the next book is even better.👍

I love this series! As Drew said, the next one is even better, but brace yourself – the ending hit me right in the feels and completely destroyed me 😥
