  1. Is that a real picture of Frank Miller? I’ve never seen him so I have no idea. At first I assumed it was Freddy from Nighmare on Elm St!

And Folio editions. Oh yeah. They speak for themselves…

  2. See? That wasn’t so hard, was it now, Lashaan! 😀 Looks like you had a lot of fun with it, too 🙂
    Thanks for the shout-out, man!

You’d have me hooked on that Game of Thrones Folio edition – fortunately, I do possess a very beautiful hardcover already – a gift from my friends 😀 That Court of Owls edition, though – that I’d love to own!

    1. Hey, no one said it was hard. It was just about finding a hole in my schedule to plug it in. 😀 It’s my pleasure for the shout-out, you deserve it!

I too would’ve picked that edition up if I didn’t have the illustrated one already too. And now that they’re finally working on the 2nd book’s illustrated edition, I think I can skill the Folio edition for a while. 😀 But yes! You need to check out the absolute edition of The Court of Owls. It’s so precious!

      1. I know, I know 😉 There’s another tag coming soon in which you might be interested as well 😉

Yeah, beautiful editions of books I admire are particularly hard to resist… I’m getting better at it, though – moving half a world can do that to you, I guess 😉 Still, there are some on my wish list 😀

  3. Haha, what a fun tag! I will try to get a post out for this somewhere in the weekend! 😊😊
Your post was awesome! 😃😃 Man …and I don’t blame you for the Envy part of this one: wow, though those books look great! I did wonder which character you were talking about in Lust…seriously….no idea….🤔🤔😂😂😇😇😇
Great post Lashaan, and thank you for the tag! 😃

  4. A great read.
Like you, I do not really re-read anything. There is so much more to read!!!
A book for a cent? Quite impressive. I don’t think anyone can beat that price. Oh, wait, what about a book that you got as a gift? Wouldn’t that count as an even cheaper one?
Albert Camus is a classic. No ifs or buts about that.
Your lust answer made me chuckle. And so did your answer to “Pride”. So true. I can relate. And then I saw your all-time favorite. I think you’re the first person so drop that title. I am actually planning on re-reading it soon, because I read it SOOOO long ago that I want to refresh my memory. But that’s my favorite as well.

    1. Thank you for reading! I would have put books that were gifted but like those who have tagged me, I consider them expensive for the gifter hahah Ohhhhh snap, sounds like a re-read is mandatory! 😀 It was one of my first Dostoyevsky and I still want to read The Idiot or the Brother Karamazov before I reread Crime and Punishment. 😮

      1. Too funny. I actually read “Godless” by James Dobson recently and the Karamazov were mentioned quite a few times. It motivated me to open the book that I already own. But I first have to read the Poppy War and the sequel (although so far I am not impressed).

  5. The most expensive book I own are probably Harry Potter Illustarted Editions 😀 The 4th one is coming out this year! Wheee!

And OMG! that edition of a Song of Ice and Fire series is GOREGOUS! I also love the leather bound edition, so beautiful (but so expensive! 😀 )

    1. Ohhhh, those are definitely the prettiest editions I’ve seen so far and it’s so cool that they’re releasing each book so quickly, compared to other illustrated editions out there. And yesss!!! The Folio edition of GoT is incredible! But I could probably say this for every book they got though hahaha

  6. Great, you joined the ranks of sinners 😉

Nice choices, I completely agree about Folio. It’s been some time since I bought anything from them, and I get this glossy catalogues all the time, I’m practically salivating over them 😉

I should probably re-read Camus, it’s been some time. About Dostoyevsky… funny thing, I recognize his greatness, I just never enjoyed his books. If I had to choose my favourite Russian author… perhaps Gogol? Dead Souls are great 🙂

    1. Hahaha thanks for inviting into this group! Whaaaat? There’s a catalogue from them? It’s probably just as pretty as their books hahah I think I’ll wait a little longer before I re-read it myself hahah And that’s quite interesting. I’ve heard of Gogol but I haven’t yet had the chance to try it. Then again, I still want to read more of Dostoyevsky, and other Russian authors, before I really conclude that they have the most “intellectual”/philosophical books too hahah

  7. I don’t ever seem to get pingbacks any more hahaha 😉 But never fear I’m here anyway!! Thanks for the tag!! I don’t think I’ve even heard of it.

I admit I can see why you want those Folio Society books… WOW!! And funny that Crime and Punishment is your classic go to. I can totally believe that the HP movies came first for you. 😉 The books are a little long winded but I can see why people love them (hahaha I haven’t read the final book!) I couldn’t get into Percy Jackson even though my writing partner read many of them. I’ve always want to be able to talk about his books. It helps if I’ve read them first I guess. This was quite fun!!

    1. Hahaha I’m glad you caught this one, in that case! I personally can’t see your replies to my comments unless I go visit each post again. Don’t know how to fix that issue hahah

You haven’t read the final book of HP?!?! I think that’s just as equivalent as not reading the whole series yet! 😉 *throws tomatoes your way* Ohhh, you’re probably one of the first people to mention not having read (or completed) a Percy Jackson book! 😮

  8. Great post Lashaan, I loved reading it 😍 thanks for the tag too, I’ll probably add this on my schedule 😍 I have to say that I didn’t agree on all the colours-sins associations, that’s so weird how we associate colours and words differently 😱 amazing post 😍

  9. Has it been two years already? Damn XD But hey, you did it!! 😀
Those Folio Society books really are absolute gems *_* I’d love to get my hands on at least a few, if not all (I need to remember this just in case someone someday offers to make a millionaire)
Great answers here, and of course you’re a Batman fanboy through and through so couldn’t expect less 😛 Thanks so much for doing it after all this time! ^^

  10. I’ll be jumping over to check out your review of a Court of Owls; it looks amazing! 😍

Ah, The Folio Society… I follow them on Twitter, and the book dreams I dream. I don’t dare to ask if they have an Instagram account. Ha ha. 😅

The Harry Potter movies left out so much of the books, plus changed some things, soooooooooo… I think you could venture that Hogwarts toe dipping any time now. 😁

Your photos for this tag are gorgeous! 👍✨

    1. It’s definitely a favourite of mine, which explains why I got that special edition!

I have then on all my social media accounts hahahah I think you’ll be dreaming A LOT once you follow them on IG… they’re the worse!!! 😂😂😂

I am super glad to hear about that about the HP franchise. I’ll read the first book in 2020 for sure.

You’re way too kind, thank you so much for reading! 😁
