It’s good to know that it isn’t all bad though! I look forward to both this month. Also excited to exchange notes on them with you! Happy reading, Kim! 😀
I actually didn’t dare watch the trailer ever since it came out hahah I’m just waiting for it to finally be out! 😛
Hahahaha I can’t wait to share my thoughts on it. Honestly, you should give some of his non-Batman stuff a try, see if you can find anything positive to say about his writing style based off of those! 😛
Lol…well, I’m still going to watch World Beyond🤔 I honestly want to see it first in it’s entirety before I make a judgement call on it. Yes the trailer looks like it’s not going to be too awesome, but well trailers can be deceiving😀 The Mandalorian though…..can’t wait for it! It promises to be an amazing season!
Looking forward to your posts for this October! Hope you have a great month my friend!😀
I really do hope that you’ll enjoy World Beyond. I think you’re the only one I know who will dive into it too hahah I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it. 😉 Can’t wait for S2 of The Mandalorian! I hope they kept the tone of the first season and built on that. Now that we don’t have the “element of surprise” regarding Baby Yoda, they’re going to have to be clever with how they develop the character and its relationship with the Mandalorian hahah Have an excellent month of October, my friend! Looking forward to our exchanges. 🙂
Lol…well, I just watched the first episode. It’s….let just say it’s different. I don’t dislike it, but I also can’t say that at this point I’m enjoying it. That said, this first episode really felt like they are setting things up for the story to come, so I’m reserving judgement until I progress further into it.
As for the Mandalorian…well…from everything that I’ve read about it so far…we are in for a treat😀😀
I see. I really hope the rest of the series only gets better for you then. I’ll look forward to your full-judgment review once you completed the season, my friend! 🙂
Wife and I are looking forward to some more Baby Yoda. You seem to have a lot going on in October, I am putting blogging on the backburner though as I have to learn for my drivers exam. Have a good month man.
Same here, my friend! I hope they have some cool ideas for Baby Yoda this upcoming season! Best of luck with your driver’s exam! I know it wasn’t the most stress-free period of my life too but the end result is definitely satisfying (getting your permit). 😀 Have a great month of October!
I expect, with colder weather starting to make itself felt, that covid will definitely play a bigger part in our lives again. I’m expecting more shutdowns, more cases and more runs on items in the stores. Good times
have fun watching Mandalorian! Keep the flame alive….
Oh, I didn’t even think of the chaos caused by people not knowing if they have a cold, flu or covid. Awww, this winter is going to suuuuuuck.
Star Wars is dead to me. Even if the mandolorian is the greatest show ever, it has the entire weight of the new trilogy pushing it down, plus the other mediocre to crappy movies plus the destruction of the EU plus the mediocrity of new EU franchise. It all combines into one rotting edifice the size of a brontosaur. Nothing can overcome something that putrid, that size 😀
Welp. Can’t call it anything else but The Death of Star Wars for Bookstooge huh 😦 So sad. I’ll just hang on to the idea that maybe someday something will make you want to give it 2821th chance. 😛
I’m going to be reading the first five books on your list as well. I’ve already read Over the Woodward Wall and I can’t wait for the others. Not sure I can handle another debate, though😬 Hope you have a fabulous month, Lashaan!
Ohhhh man! I look forward to reading your thoughts on them as soon as you unleash those beasts (your awesome reviews)! Yep… Those debates… Especially if Trump comes back strong from his COVID… they’re going to be rough. Have an excellent month of October, Tammy! 😀
I’ve also continued reading good things about Alice Hoffman, which I’ll admin has me curious, but for whatever reason I keep passing her books by. If I didn’t already have so many waiting to be read I might be more enthusiastic. But I’m very curious to read your thoughts on her work. I’ve never read V.E. Schwab and yet I’m excited about The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. I watched an interview between her and Neil Gaiman and I think I was drawn in by her passion for the book. I’ve wanted to read it since then. I wish you much success with your “serious-me” October! I’ll be working on that, as well, trying to push myself to get out and be more creative.
I really don’t know why I haven’t tried Hoffman already. Her books sound so good. Especially her writing. I look forward to discovering it soon though. It should give me a good idea of IF her stuff is for me or not.
As you saw (heheh), The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is indeed a beautiful story and I’m glad she took the time to share it with us! Her love for Gaiman (at least what I’ve seen through interviews/Twitter) is adorable hahaha She really does love literature and it shows in her taste and what she writes!
Best of luck as well in serious-Todd! I’m sure you’ll know how to make the most out of your month, my friend! 🙂
Looking forward to Roanhorse’s Black Sun as well (I just don’t know when I will be able to add it to my TBR…), and I can’t believe that The Walking Dead creators are still dragging those poor walking corpses around after all this time! Having left the main series after the excessively bloody and violent episode 1 of season 7, I have no desire to explore that world any more…
Have a great October! 🙂
I’ll be diving into Black Sun soon and I hope her stuff will appeal to me! Yep… I facepalmed when they announced this new spin-off that looked even less appealing than Fear the Walking Dead… A sort of YA take on the franchise. There’s very little chance that I’ll give it a try hahahah
Have an excellent month of October, Maddalena! Stay safe as well! 😀
Thanks, Raven! Those two definitely had me excited for what I’ll be reading this month! The latter successfully impressed me too! Hope you read some good ones this month, Raven! Happy reading! 🙂
Always great to have something to look forward to! The Neil Gaiman Reader looks good. You may be disappointed by the presidential debate, not sure how that will play out now? Personally (this may sound a tad negative) I mostly look forward to October is over. Work is just so crazy at the moment and normally October is the worst month. Mid Nov, things will most likely start to slow down again. But on the positive side, I have lined up a few movies and shows I can watch in the dark October evenings, when my head is too tired to do much else.
I am curious about what stores are included in that new Gaiman book but I think I can wait a bit more to find out. As a Canadian, I just find it mostly entertaining and somewhat depressing that such things can even happen in 2020… And if Trump uses his “COVID-survivor” card next round, it’s going to play soooo much on how the election turns out in the end… 😮 Oh snap, I do hope things calm down quickly for you then! It sounds so hectic. Let’s try and make the most of this supposedly spooky season now! Happy reading! 😀
Just finished Addie LaRue and really enjoyed it!! Starting my ARC of Black Sun next! And yes, Mandalorian, really looking forward to some more Star Wars in my life!
Just launched my review of Addie LaRue myself! What a ride it was. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it. Oh man, also looking forward to exchanging notes on Black Sun. I haven’t tried anything by the author but it sounds so promising! S2 of The Mandalorian couldn’t come any faster!!! 😀 Happy reading!
Oh lord. I’m not looking forward to round 2 and 3 of the presidential debate. I expect it to be worse than the first unless someone can actually get Trump to STFU.
That Sandman/Lock and Key mashup sounds good. I haven’t yet read any Sandman comics, although I own one, but I did like the first Locke & Key (I need to continue with the series).
Yikes on those rising numbers in your city. Stay safe out there.
I enjoyed Black Sun (though I had a few issues with it…), and my ARC of Machine is next on the list. I am looking forward to it!

Yeah, don’t get me started on King… How on earth could he have gotten Rorschach to write?! 🤬 😭😭😭
Have a great October, Lashaan!

Right? It’s never going to be easy to get used to the idea that the pandemic will be there to ruin things for us!
Hahahha! Rare, indeed! Although we did have Anxious People in common last month. 😉

Yep… And people who will start wondering if they just have a simple cold or a case of COVID is going to make things quite chaotic too…
I wish you could give the first season a try somehow just so your hope in the franchise doesn’t remain tarnished by The Force Awakens…

Pooh. No haunted house attraction at Sloss this year. No singing cowboy. 😦
I feel for your b-ball games.
I hope you enjoy your new reading format, Digital Cowboy.

Definitely a cool mash-up. You have to continue the Locke & Key series!
