Digital Mini Reviews | What Would Life Be Without Books?

Hi there!

I honestly can’t fathom life without books by my side. They’ve become so crucial to my sanity that the mere thought of such a possibility drives me nuts. It’s not even just about the emotions, from joy to pain, that they allow us to embrace at our own discretion. It’s the potential for novelty, for escapism, for progress on so many levels. Sometimes a book is all you need to cure everything wrong in our reality, even if it’s just temporarily. Here are a couple of comics that showcase the importance of books to humankind, many even exposing how revealing books are of our own person! Or cats. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

  1. Yeah, I certainly see a bit of a theme going on here. ๐Ÿ™‚ Any idea what drew you to all these around the same time? Or did you read them over a longer period and put them together later based on their similar themes? Regardless, interesting selection of works I’m completely unfamiliar with, so thanks for the eye opening.

    1. These were all read through my phone and were picked for their “lightness”. They filled up those small periods of time where I had nothing else to do but just wanted to breeze through some entertaining or validating webcomics. ๐Ÿ˜› I also read these a couple of months ago. I just collect them together under some kind of theme to present in these Digital Mini Reviews. ๐Ÿ˜€ Glad to showcase them and steer you towards some collections that could be fun to flip through if you’re ever craving for these kinds of comics!

  2. Great collection, these are some of the best bookish cartoonists ๐Ÿ™‚

“I will judge you by your bookshelf”… I should have that printed on a nice card, and give it to a host each time I visit someone for the first time. Because I might pretend it’s not the case, but that’s what I always do ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. Exactly what led me to read through all 3 collections too. Worth checking out for a good little quick giggle here and there! Really glad to hear your interest in these titles though. But your recommendation looks AMAZING! I definitely plan on getting my hands on copy now. Thanks for sharing, my man! ๐Ÿ˜€

    1. It is indeed “cute” or rather “light” if you ask me hahah Sometimes she does, I’m stocking up on those to collect them in a future post where she can take all the blame hahah These weren’t influenced by her though. They’re just the kind of “light” reading I indulge on my smartphone when I got nothing else to do! ๐Ÿ˜›

        1. Absolutely, my friend. February has been so hectic and demanding work/uni-wise that time for reading and blogging had to take a hit. It’s why I haven’t been as active as I’d usually be on here but still managed to sneak in a couple of posts heheh I’ll definitely make it a priority to turn March into a “return to form” month though. Thanks for asking; I appreciate the inquiry! ๐Ÿ˜€

        1. Hahaha true, true. It’s why most webcomics are just one-page stuff shown on social media. Collecting them together just allows us to revisit them whenever we want. ๐Ÿ˜€ I usually just look into what themes are explored, the style, the humour, the amount of content, how relatable it is, maybe also how it makes me feel too. I’m sure you’d find so much to say if you give it a shot, knowing how thorough your reviews are, Yesha! ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. A nice selection Lashaan and great reviews. Books and others are big therapy in todayโ€™s isolation. Tv I has proven to be too programming. Books we choose and tv seduces us at a glance into sounds, pictures and motions.Happy Saturday!
