Hello ladies & gentlemen,
Who doesn’t love the anticipation of new releases and things that they plan on doing? Every month there seems to be something new and exciting ready to hit the market for our consumption.
Being ready to embrace them with open arms is all we can really do.
You can find out more about my thoughts by visiting me over on my blog here:

I like Scarlett Johansson and I can’t wait to watch Black Widow. I hope you get your routine back and have great July.

Oh man, they’re going to ruin He-Man?!? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!???????????/
I haven’t seen Monster U either, so I don’t think I’ll be into the tv show very much.
Good luck getting back to a regular work routine. That’s always a toughie….

Hahahaha hey man, maybe it’ll turn out to be much better than anyone ever expected it to be. You’ll just have to try it out for yourself to find out. 😛
I’ll probably only try Monster U at some point but the TV show is no priority of mine.
Thanks, man. I do hope work doesn’t turn out as shitty as it has been lately and that you get to make the most of July too. Stay safe, good sir.

OMG, He-Man comes back??? I feel like they’ve run out of good ideas to reboot… a very long time ago. I must admit I did watch and enjoy He-Man as a very small kid but I am not at all interested in revisiting this experience 😉 To be fair, the whole idea of rebooting is itself rather questionable… 🤣🤣🤣
This Spidey storyline sounds intriguing!
Good luck with finding your work-life balance in July, Lashaan!

Hahahaah I’m just surprised that you even watched He-Man as a kid! I couldn’t even see the appeal in the character, probably because of his hairstyle or something. 😛 Thanks, Ola! Hope you got some good stuff planned out for July! 😀

I’m so.. conflicted that they’ve made a new space jam. Idk- seemed to be one of the memorable thing of it’s era, and it feels kind of odd to me (sortof like the new jumaji was!) but again, I haven’t been particularly attached to either xd the concept of having another one more recent is just… off I guess.
Only thing im looking forward this month, is hopefully following 4-days work (instead of 5- and NOT being called in when off) aswell as my last covid shot on the 12th!
Happy July xx

I totally understand that! I felt the same about Jumanji, despite all the hype and love it gets from younger people. Space Jam, the original, was just so iconic, a true cult classic. I just hope Lebron doesn’t cheese it too much!
That’s wonderful! I hope you have a wonderful month of July and that you get to do everything you want as well. Stay safe! 😀

I almost can’t believe they’re bringing He-Man back. Well, actually I guess it’s not that surprising. Everything seems to get brought back eventually. I did enjoy He-Man as a kid. Not sure I’d watch now, but who knows, maybe. And the X-Men appear to have gone in directions I’m completely unfamiliar with. Not only do some of them look a bit different than I remember, but I’m not familiar with the nation of Krakoa. I wish you well this month, Lashaan. I hope things slow down enough to let you enjoy a bit of it, and that you don’t have any other major hardships to work through.

I’m not surprised that He-Man is back too. Everything in the 80s-90s usually is bound to get revived 30-40 years later hahaha I don’t think I’ll watch it though; I’m more inclined to check out movies than shows for the past years now.
Yep, the whole nation of Krakoa is a new storyline, an interesting one but it sort of got diluted in the number of sub-series it spawned, at least for me. But I find that such things are inevitable with the X-Men. There are just sooooo many characters that it’s impossible that one series covers all of them with enough depth.
Thanks, man. I hope July has been great so far for you too, my friend! Stay safe and enjoy the beautiful weather on everyone’s behalf! 😀

Oh man He-Man!? I wasn’t into it the first time, so I doubt I’ll be watching it this time around. Monsters though and Space Jam look fab. I’m conflicted about Black Widow as I love her in the Avengers and really hope they don’t ruin it with a film full of stunts and no story.
Hope July goes really well for you Lashaan! 😀

Hahahah I never grew up watching He-Man but I do hope fans will enjoy this latest series! I fear the exact same thing about Black Widow. It’s why I have yet to check it out even though it came out yesterday hahaha Have a fantastic month of July, Nicki! 😀

An eclectic choice, but one item made me stop and think for a while: the book about the monk and the robot. I was just thinking that if this robot goes around asking what people need, he’ll get a lot of answers about what people want. Which is not necessarily the same thing.

Very interesting observation indeed! People today often don’t make that crucial difference and once someone understands it, it can change a person’s perception of life in so many ways.

Seeing Space Jam makes me laugh because I remember selling Warner Bros. the furniture for their production offices for the first movie WAY back when, lol. God I’ve been in the furniture business way too long! Hope you have a good month, Lashaan😁

Oh my goodness, that is too cool!!! I grew up watching the movie, first for the Looney Tunes characters and then for the basketball references hahah I do hope they don’t butcher the original’s reputation with this sequel. 😛 Have an excellent month of July, Tammy! 😀

I still haven’t found it in me to even attempt to pick up Game of Thrones again. I just don’t think the series is for me. Just need to know what to do with the set now 🤣
I feel like I’m one of the few that isn’t all that hyped for the black widow movie. It’s not that I don’t like the character, but I just feel like we’ve already closed the chapter on her legacy.
I’m sorry to hear about your grandmother’s passing. Hopefully, now that the funerals passed the family can focus on the fond memories they had of her.
Good luck with the essay. I’m sure you’ll smash it!

Oh nooo hahaha I’ve only heard people being intimidated by its size more than anything but I guess some stories are just not meant for some people too! 😛 Maybe you have family members who won’t mind getting that set for Christmas from you then! 😛
Rest assured, I’m not that hyped for Black Widow too. That story should’ve been told before her death. And I’m not convinced that they have that great of a story to tell with her either hahahah More excited by the next MCU movies though. 😀
Thank you so much for your kind words, Lois! Take care and stay safe as well! 😀

Sorry for your loss Lashaan. Milou also had her gran pass away that she never knew. The lady was 100 years old though. Watching Black Widow tonight, very exited for it.

Thanks, man. I appreciate it. Yep, I find it impressive when someone is able to reach that number in their life. Hopefully, we get to live long and healthy lives ourselves. Hope you enjoyed Black Widow! 😀

Game of Thrones is firmly on my TBR list, though I haven’t started the series yet. That’s one thing I’m hoping to do in the second half of 2021.

Monsters Inc as a series? That could be fun but do they have enough cute/ somewhat funny content?

I’m sure their creativity went all out for this series and the possibilities were surely endless! 😀 Haven’t tried the series to find out though.

Great round up of content, and I also am super excited for the three books that you listed — especially The Past is Red!

I am so sorry to hear about your grand-mother. Agree that it’s a reminder to tell people you love them while there is still time AND also remember to live the life you want to now and not postpone all the things you really want to do.
Hope you had a nice vacation. I have vacation coming up soon, but opposite yours, mine is a real one not a pseudo. What is a pseudo vacation anyway? 😊

Thanks for your kind words! Hahaha they were “pseudo-vacation” because I was off work but I dedicated that time to work on my Ph.D.-related essays. So… not really vacations. 😛 I look forward to the day I can actually disconnect from everything and just enjoy a trip again. It’ll probably be for summer 2022. That way I’ll also have the world time to get used to a post-pandemic era. 😛 I hope you enjoy your vacation time though!

Good luck with your PhD! I remember working full time (more than full time) whilst writing my masters thesis and in the end it was an absolute nightmare and I couldn’t wait to finish my studies, so I could focus on my job without constantly feeling bad about not studying.
