This is one of my favorite Batman stories. I love the introduction of David and Cassandra Cain.

It’s definitely one of the most important events in the whole Batman lore! Cassandra Cain’s addition since No Man’s Land is indeed awesome!

While it may not have been great, at least this was a 3star for you. Sometimes you gotta take that fast food cheeseburger and be thankful you’re not starving to death 😀

Exactly. And I don’t mind fast food with comics since the time investment (to read it) and the obtained quality ratio is never as insane as going through a 1000 page book that turned out “meh” in the end. 😛

At leàst it wasn’t as bad as that Superman film! 😀

If I run into a comic as bad as that movie, I’m sure to tear it to pieces with an in-depth review and get some fun out of it though! 😛

Great review as ever Lashaan! And the art is once more so fitting for the story!

Wow, this story was spread over 5 series. That being the case I’m less surprised the sum total is only a 3 star, which honestly isn’t bad. Just not as great as we might hope for.

Yep. It’s tough to create something internally coherent when it’s spread across so many issues. I do appreciate it when they have a “main event” comic book series released and leave all the tie-in stuff to be handled separated and collected separately nowadays.

Hm. Hm, hm, hmm. Not sure I want to try this one out. I’ll wait for your review of the conclusion! 😀
Intriguing review, Lashaan, seem like you’ve been all over the place with regards to this one – it’s like you are still deciding whether the conclusion will be worth it 😉

I wouldn’t be able to recommend this to you as of this moment too and I think there’s too much “fluff” around the intrigue to really catch your attention. I’m mostly 3-starring my way through this because I know this event is considered a classic in Batman lore and I just want to know how it all goes down hahah

Concept sounds promising but it’s like saying we have here, ” Too many cooks spoil the soup”. Great review, Lashaan!

That’s a great saying that explains everything quite perfectly! Thanks for reading, Yesha. 😀

Do you think Batman/Superman will forever be present as superheroes? It’s been generations and there’s still ongoing art coming out.

Ahhh, they’ll never die. They’ll live forever. Just like legends. 😉
