Hello ladies & gentlemen,
Who doesn’t love the anticipation of new releases and things that they plan on doing? Every month there seems to be something new and exciting ready to hit the market for our consumption.
Being ready to embrace them with open arms is all we can really do.
You can find out more about my thoughts by visiting me over on my blog here:
Yours truly,

You know I’m not the biggest fan of the DC titles, but The Human Target sounds really interesting and perhaps something that might be enjoyed even without knowing much about the DCU’s history. Of course, I’ll wait for you to confirm or deny that before I try it out. 🙂
I’m hesitantly curious about Cowboy Bebop. I really loved most of the anime, though it did have some quirks I didn’t care for. And it appears perhaps this version might leave some of those out which I’d be happy about. But will it capture the feel of the anime? We’ll see.
“I want to use this month of November to not get carried away by the things I could’ve done but to appreciate the things I did accomplish and the goals/dreams I continue to chase to this day!” Great attitude to take this month, and I hope you’re successful with it! I think it’s good to acknowlege and learn from our setbacks or failings but even more important to appreciate our accomplishments, stay positive, and continue striving. All the best to you in November, Lashaan!

I love those stand-alone stories that have the right amount of issues to tell the story that the creator wants to tell and you’re right. The Human Target, by its premise, it sounds like something that could attract any reader. I’ll definitely share my thoughts on it when it gets collected.
Something tells me it won’t stick too much to the anime and will try to give us something exciting in its own way. I’ll definitely be curious to see what hardcore fans will think of it.
Thanks, Todd! It’s so easy for so many of us to dwell on the negative just because it stays with us longer. I hope people will learn to search for positive stuff in their lives more often with experience.

Human Target looks good. As for Tom King and previous DC forays into medieval stuff, I’m not convinced (to put it lightly :P) Eternals – count me out 😉 But Robin & Batman looks very promising indeed! Best of luck for November, Lashaan! 😀

You still need to try King’s stand-alone graphic novels though. I will always vouch for those (at least those that I read so far). He gets his ideas across much better than on longer series. As for medieval DC… I haven’t read anything like it before and from the sound of it, I’ll probably try and avoid past attempts for now and see what this new series will receive as love/hate from its readers.
I saw Eternals yesterday. You should definitely avoid it. You’d probably tear it to shreds. It might fool you with Zhao’s visual direction but otherwise, the story is messy and with more plot holes than swiss cheese! I can only give credit to the after-credit scenes though… The exploration of obscure Marvel characters continues… 😀

Aaargh! We’re witnessing a steep steady decline of MCU 😜 thanks for the warning, Lashaan, I’ll definitely heed it! 😁
I’ve read King’s Vision standalone; it was pretty solid, except for the ending 😜 I liked the idea, though, of the dangers of the suburban life 🤣

Hahahaha only you to draw such a conclusion! 😛 You should try his Sheriff of Babylon, considering it’s a war story with ideas of trauma and whatnot in it! Your cup of tea right there. It could be the ultimate trial for Mr. King. 😉

Will do, thanks! 😉

Even thought I have an ARC for it, I’m looking forward to the release of Fonda Lee’s Jade Legacy. I’m about 60% of the way through, and it’s been good so far. The action’s starting to pick up, though, so I can’t wait to get to the rest of it.

I too plan on completing Jade Legacy this month, if I don’t get detracted! Glad to hear it seems pretty decent so far though. I look forward to what Lee has planned for us! 😀

My husband’s enjoyed the first two books in the Josiah Bancroft series, and of course loves Brandon Sanderson as well, as does my son. I’ll definitely let them know about both these books Lashaan. I’m looking forward to Hawkeye and hope it’s as good as The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Hope you have a great November Lashaan! 😀

I hope they’ll have a blast with these in that case! I too hope Hawkeye will turn out fun and not too cheesy. My expectations are a bit high considering that I read and enjoyed the graphic novel it is based on hahah Hope you’re having an excellent month of November too, Nicki! 😀

I am looking forward to the Wheel of Time. I’ve heard that season 2 is already in production, so that’s good.
I read Film Authority’s review of the Eternals yesterday and even given his penchant for not liking super hero movies it still sounds horrible. I feel like the big screen MCU is stuttering pretty badly.
Good luck getting life how you want it. That’s always a tough row to hoe.

I’ll be very curious to hear about your thoughts on The Wheel of Time, especially since you’re pretty much the only living person I know that read the whole series hahahah
I saw Eternals yesterday and I can confirm that it was a messy attempt to explore the MCU’s origin, with too many characters, poor editing, and a predictable plot. It did have intriguing post-credit scenes but that doesn’t change how little invested I was in the story and characters hahahah

Once I watch WoT I’ll definitely be writing up a post on it. I invested too much time on the books to do otherwise 😀
Blahhhhh 😦
as much I might badmouth comicbook movies now, I still want them to succeed. There are so many fantastic stories they could tell from the source material and they just throw it all away 😦

I’m hopeful that the next Spider-Man movie might do things better than recent MCU movies though. We’ll just have to pray that this whole Phase 4 plan will pan out and not just give us obscure Marvel characters to discover and quickly forget… 😛

Being a huge Expanse fan, I can hardly wait to read Leviathan Falls even though I know it will be a bittersweet experience, since I will have to say goodbye to an amazing series and a set of beloved characters – and I also somewhat envy you because your of the journey of discovery that awaits you down the road… 🙂

Knowing how huge of a fan you are of the Expanse series, I can only imagine how excited you are for this next installment! I hope it delivers everything you want for it! I really can’t wait to make time for the series… The first book has been on my shelves for too long. 2022 will be a good year of prioritizing. 😛

Cant’ wait for Cytonic! Got my preorder in all ready. Man, I’m so on the fence about the Cowboy Bebop adaptation, I can’t tell how that style is going to hold over the course of the season. We’ll find out soon!

Wise words – “we often tend to over-focus on the things that we are displeased by.” And the signature/gif/whathaveyou is awesome. Where do you get those these days?
Other than The Human Target, nothing looks that appealing to me. Maybe I’ll go see Clifford the Big Red Dog and be done with this month. lol

Absolutely random searches on google with keywords of things I want. I don’t recall what I even put to find that gif too hahah
Pfft hahahah maaaaaaan, I still can’t believe that cartoon got a live-action movie. At least it looks way better than the live-action Dora the Explorer movie we got… 😉

I think those movies can be fun for people who grew up with those cartoons. You’re able to watch something you enjoyed without going to a cartoon movie. A decent cover 😀

Thanks to your monthly anticipation I always know the movies that are coming up and always end up very pleasantly surprised! 😁 Also, you’re definitely not alone on the whole “procrastination” thing, and it is totally normal! Especially in the depressing winter months… That being said, I hope you had a great start of the month looking on the bright side!

Hahaha I’m always glad to highlight the movies I would personally check out, it also serves as a great reminder for myself of what’s coming out this month. 😛 Thanks, Juliette! Hope you got used to the timezone and rainy weather out there and somehow got back to your usual routine too. 😀

Yup, November is certainly the month where we start thinking, “where did the year go?!” It’s also normally an extremely busy month, the last hectic effort before things calm down before Christmas. I haven’t been that active in the blogging world lately. Hope everything is well, with job, PhD and all…

It is always so good to hear from you though! I hope things have been not too hectic on your end. Out here, November is usually the calmer month before December becomes insane with deadlines in all spheres of life for everyone and with people going nuts trying to figure out and plan out their holiday festivities hahah

WOWW! Looks like you’ve got to look forward to! I wish I could watch Encanto and House of Gucci (I LOVE GAGA!) But alas, no chance. Not risking going to the movies, plus, not possible to watch in peace with kids in tow…and no way am I gonna let them watch House of Gucci LOL Been so so bz lately I wish I could spend some time with my reviews 😦 (SOON!) Hope you’re doing well, my friend!
